Sterling Vance
Sterling Vance writes fiction where order and collapse share a border. His third novel, A Perfectly Useless War, follows an American military operation that keeps running after its purpose has disappeared. It's a geopolitical thriller about competence as its own kind of horror, pitched as Tom Clancy without the heroes and Dr. Strangelove without the villains. He is also the author of the cyberpunk series Signal & Static (Echoes of Erasure, The Silent Vigil). A Tartan Noir series set in Glasgow and a YA medical urban fantasy are in the works. He lives in Scotland, where, when he isn't starting wars or plotting crimes on the page, he is trying to convince his household electronics they don't need replacing. Not just yet.
